Hello all,

I wondered if anyone here has a job title/ description that is particularly geared to ‘Teacher Librarian’, in the U.S style in their institution? I am thinking of a role that would be focussed on literacy and information skills and would require a teaching qualification, working closely with teaching staff and taking the library into the classroom – as the main part of their post rather than as part of a subject librarian’s duties.

Sorry to be rather vague – just at the beginning of designing a proposal for a new post,

Many thanks in advance

Joanne Lacy
