There are still some places left on the following Archives for London Practical:

Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) funding archives and outreach: The Salters’ History and Heritage Project

The Heritage Lottery grant of £98,500 awarded to the Salters’ Company has enabled them to open up their unique archive collection through a brand new schools programme and a line-up of tours and events for the wider public, in conjunction with the redevelopment of Salters’ Hall.

There will be a tour of the marvellous Salters’ Hall and garden, with opportunities for discussion and questions throughout. Delegates will learn how the Salters’ Company’s programmes work for education, outreach and archives, and how the team developed their Heritage Lottery Fund plan for their successful bid, and then the organisation required to implement the plan.

The AfL practical will be led by Public Programmes Manager Naomi Evans and Archivist Katie George, who work closely together, and are now delivering their plan for The Salters’ History and Heritage Project.
