Dear Helene At UCL we permit entry into the examination hall up to 30 minutes after the start of the exam. If students arrive after 30 minutes they are handed a form to prove that they arrived at the exam hall and referred to their department. the department may then if they are able to accommodate the student to take their exam but they are not to receive the 30 minutes that they have lost at the start of the exam. We do not permit any student to leave the exam hall during the first 30 minutes and the last 15 minutes. We are looking at reducing this and I wondered what lateness, if any, you permit at your institution? If you don't allow late entry to exam halls at all, do you have any problems caused by this? Thank you.
