Call for papers: Quality of life and personal well-being: research and data showcase

Are you researching personal well-being or quality of life? Would you like to share your research with other data users, producers and policymakers?

We are looking for presentations for the event Quality of life and personal well-being: research and data showcase.

This one day event, organised by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and the UK Data Service, will be held on 27 November 2017. It is free to attend and will be held at Jisc, Brettenham House, London.

The programme will contain a mixture of presentations from the ONS, researchers and data producers.

We are particularly interested in submissions for quality of life and well-being related presentations on the following:

•           Children and young people

•           Community well-being including social capital

•          ‘New’ data or techniques for measuring quality of life and well-being (e.g. social media data)

•           Longitudinal research

Presentations do not have to be based on ONS data or data available from the UK Data Service.

Presentations should be approximately 20 minutes long. Presenters will then have 10 minutes to respond to questions for the audience.

Please send presentation abstracts (200 words maximum) to [log in to unmask] by Monday 25 September.

Abstracts will be evaluated and authors will be notified after the selection process. A detailed programme of presentations will be provided prior to the conference.

Presentations from a previous personal well-being data user event can be viewed on the UK Data Service website.
