Hello,
TL;DR: I wrote a launcher for SPM so you have an overview of
the different SPM and toolbox versions and I'd like to know if
people are interested in me publishing it.
in our research group we work a lot with SPM. We use SPM5, 8 and 12
and have many different toolboxes. The problem is: it is becoming
too much to manage all of it. For consistency reasons we sometimes
need older versions of toolboxes but newer projects should have the
latest versions of SPM and it's toolboxes. Since it became
impossible to manage I decided to write a Launcher for SPM in which
you can decide which version of SPM with which toolboxes you want to
start (see screenshot to get a better
impression). We now can install updates of toolboxes without having
any concerns about backwards compatibility. (For people who have
many toolboxes installed but only need one or two at a time it also
optimizes the start time of SPM)
My question is: are you interested in it? And do you want me
to publish it? I would love to hear some feedback. :)
The software is written in Java and is theoretically capable of
running under any OS, but because of the fact that the launcher uses
the mount command under GNU/Linux it only works at unix-like
operating systems. If there is a demand for a Windows version of the
application I will look into it.
Best regards,
Kelvin Sarink
