Benny Gerber at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with an expected starting date around October 1, 2018. The position is in the first place for one year, with possible extension upon mutual consent for a second year.

The research topics will be one or more of the following:

  (1)  Photochemical reactions in organic molecules in gas phase and in solid and liquid particles.

  (2)  Molecular reactions at liquid water and ice surfaces, and in nanosize droplets.

 (3) New methods of computational spectroscopy, with applications to structure determination of biological molecules.

Interest in both method development and applications is strongly encouraged.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in theoretical or computational chemistry, or in a related research area, who obtained their doctorate not more than 5 years before the expected starting date.

Interested candidates should write to Professor R.B. Gerber at [log in to unmask].

Applications should include:      (1) A C.V.; (2) A list of publications; (3) A letter stating research interests. Applicants should also arrange for at least two letters of recommendation to be sent directly to Professor Gerber.

The postdoctoral project may require trips to the University of California at Irvine, where part of the Gerber group is located. Funds for such travel, if required, will be provided.
