The event below is jointly organised by two ECREA Sections, Communication Law and Policy, and Media Industries and Cultural Production. The keynote speaker is Eli Noam, Director, Columbia Institute for Tele-Information, Columbia University, New York. Eli is the world's leading expert on media ownership (see the link to the definitive 1400 page book he edited on the topic, below) and a world-leading authority on the internet, telecommunications and broadband.

Excellent presentations on cutting edge research topics such as the funding of content, the roles of fans and of algorithms, redefining journalism and news, and what might be "chilling" or constraining content. Participation including lunch & coffee breaks: £50/£40(unwaged)



Getting there: Norwich is easily and cheaply accessible by train via London Liverpool Street, Cambridge, Sheffield and even Liverpool Lime Street stations. Parking is also available on the UEA campus.
