I was looking at

http://www.vennersys.co.uk/Default.html

after meeting them at the Museums and Heritage Show. The team there said that they could do Wordpress integration. We have gone with the tools built into our Wordpress theme (including Woocommerce), but would certainly take a closer look at Vennersys once we have got our new website up and running.

Hi all,

It’s a quest I have been on for some time. We have integrated with numerous partners but the compromises always seem to be there.

The closest I have come recently is NuTickets (www.nutickets.com) – they’re also pretty new but after going through their feature set and having a demo log in, it’s the best I’ve seen for a bit and I’m genuinely excited to work with it. The feature set is actually really useful and is in line with what our clients are asking for including the areas you’ve listed. Their tech is also really tight and their API comes fully documented and is genuinely easy to follow which makes a big difference for our dev team. It can integrate with any technology and comes WordPress ready for speed. It’s also really well priced. I also like that anything we ask for they can cater for quickly with bespoke features adding on with a fast turnaround.

I’ll take a look at the other suggested here.

Good thread 😊

Would recommend looking at / talking to Veevart (www.veevart.com/). They are new kids on the block and we have been working with them for about a year and half. We are not using their ticketing / e-commerce solutions yet but I've been very impressed with other aspects of their offering.

I've still not found one thing that does everything either. And even so, not all orgs need all of those features (or they might *need* them but they haven't got round to it, or haven't been given the go ahead yet so don't use it).

Hi all

I’m still on my {endless} quest for a solution that does a “unified basked” type thing for event tickets, entry tickets, membership, e-commerce that 1) works, 2) organisations and users actually like.

I’m sort of amazed that given how much museums need to rely on solid usability and online sources of income that there isn’t better information out there on this.

My research seems to suggest that there are two approaches, neither of which is terribly satisfying:

1) Big “all in” systems: massively expensive; often don’t do the constituent parts very well - i.e. “our system does marketing emails, just really badly”

2) Patching together disparate “best of breed” systems, i.e.  Eventbrite + Shopify + Donorfy + etc etc - which is great because they’re all individually excellent, but an integration and maintenance nightmare

Ideally I’m looking for something which isn’t hugely expensive, but tbh at this stage any suggestions will do, on or off list.

Anyone?

thanks

Mike
