Hi,

We are just in the process of going live with Talis Aspire but in our previous system we also put the details of the article on the reading list but the link went to the journal level.  A student note then directed the student’s on how to navigate to the article and the reason why they need to do this.  We are planning to follow the same process in Talis Aspire.

Regards,

Emma

Hi Hannah/all,

We tend to bookmark from the journal issue (although the bookmark is of the article, with all relevant metadata) and add a student note on the bookmark to scroll down to the required article; it seems the easiest workaround. I’d be interested to hear if anyone has other methods!

Best wishes,

Catherine

Subject: Linking to the Harvard Business Review in Talis

Hi

I think someone asked something similar a few years back but I can’t see any replies so would be grateful for some help. What do other libraries do with linking to Harvard Business Review articles in Talis? As some articles do not allow permanent linking to them students cannot access them directly through Talis. Does anyone have a workaround?

Or has anybody signed up to the Premium Educator Access on Harvard Business Publishing for Educators (https://cb.hbsp.harvard.edu/cbmp/pages/home ) or tried to buy copyright permission from HBR directly?

Any help gratefully received!

Best wishes,

Hannah
