**With apologies for cross-posting**

The CILIP Commercial, Legal and Scientific Information Group (CLSIG) are very pleased to offer a Briggs-Washington bursary place for a CLSIG member to attend Internet Librarian International (ILI): the library innovation conference 2017 in London this October. You can read more about the conference at: http://www.internet-librarian.com/2017/default.aspx

What is covered:

The bursary from CLSIG will cover a place at the conference, up to two nights hotel accommodation, and reasonable UK travel expenses.

Requirements:

Applicants must be members of CLSIG, and have agreement for attendance at the conference from their manager.

The bursary recipient is expected to write an article for the January 2018 issue of the CLSIG Journal to reflect on and develop ideas that came out of the conference (rather than simply describe the experience).

We’d also like you to tweet for CLSIG during the conference (#ILI2017) and to spend some time with us on the CLSIG stand.

How to apply:

Submit a statement of no more than 300 words explaining why you wish to attend the conference, and how you believe it will benefit your professional practice. You may wish to mention any sessions in which you have a particular interest. In addition, please also include an estimate of travel costs (excluded from word count!)

Send your application to [log in to unmask] by 5:00pm BST on Friday 1st September 2017. The recipient will be announced on 10th September 2017. Unsuccessful bursary applicants are still able to get a CLSIG Member discount. The early bird conference rate is available until 15th September 2017.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Alex

CLSIG Chair
