Congratulations to our winner and runner-up! Their books will be published in 2018. Thank you to our distinguished editorial board and to all those who took part in the competition.

 

The Early Career Researcher Prize in German Studies is a collaboration between the Institute for German Studies at the University of Birmingham and Peter Lang. Proposals were invited by 31 May 2017 from early career scholars in German Studies with connections to the UK and Ireland. The winner of the competition is offered a contract for a non-subsidized book to be published by Peter Lang.

 

The winner of the 2016 prize, Portraits of the Artist: Dionysian Creativity in Selected Works by Gabriele D'Annunzio and Thomas Mann by Dr Jessica Wood, has just been published.
