Hi Sjors, Joshua's suggestion of using relion_preprocess with the --operate_on option seems to be what I need. However, for future reference I'd like to ask, isn't your untested awk snippet going to leave off the 0s we usually find in rlnImageName? And would that prevent the star file from being read correctly? thanks to both respondants for the help, Mike W.
