Dear colleagues,

A colleague who is an archaeologist with a specialty in ceramics is interested in broadening her work on perfume and medicinal trade in the Classical Mediterranean, and asks:

If I were interested in picking up a few courses about Mediterranean ecology/botany, with a particular interest in familiarizing myself with plants that would be useful for perfume or medicinal use, where/which institutions would you recommend?

I had trouble thinking of institutions that might offer such courses. This is something she would pursue during a sabbatical year, so anywhere in the world is possible. Any suggestions or ideas?

Many thanks,
Mac
