Can’t remember seeing that with plasma albumin. What method?

Any chance of getting another pair of specimens from the patient?

Hi guys,

Just querying has anybody come across this unusual pattern of blood results, see below.  I suspect its preanalytical – Albumin, Sodium, Potassium,  and ALK  are affected.
We received a Lithium Heparin and Serum sample on the same patient in the same delivery. There is some interference with the Lithium Heparin sample that is not affecting the serum sample.
Samples were assayed x2 on two different days and we retrieved the same result!!

Any ideas!!
