Hi all,
I tried to install the SIRF-SuperBuild on my Linux (Ubuntu 17.04) box following the instractions from the web page: https://github.com/CCPPETMR/SIRF/wiki/SIRF-SuperBuild-Ubuntu-16.04

Yes, I've used said horrible trick before. We could possibly alternatively get away with creating a temporary symlink `python27_d.lib -> python27.lib`

Just checked that adding `-DHDF5_USE_STATIC_LIBRARIES=1` still needs a change to FindHDF5 as the relevant lines there are only enabled on Unix. Fix is in
