Post-Doctoral Position in Experimental Physical Chemistry
Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d'Orsay - CNRS - Université Paris Sud
- Orsay - France

Applications are invited for a one year post-doctoral position at the
Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d'Orsay (ISMO), Université Paris Sud,
Orsay, France.

The successful candidate will be involved in a multidisciplinary
research program on the experimental investigation, in the gas phase, of
the complex non-covalent interactions which control carbohydrates
conformations. Several experimental methods, all of them being based on
laser spectroscopy, will be employed to interrogate the effect of the
environment and chemical modifications on carbohydrates
conformations. The research project being multi-disciplinary in essence,
it is conducted in close partnership with local, national and
internationalgroups of glycochemists, as well as theoretical and
experimental chemists.

Previous experience and expertise in the fields of laser spectroscopy,
molecular beams, quantum chemistry will be considered but is not compulsory.

Applicants should have obtained their Ph.D. in a relevant subject area
by the starting date of the contract and not more than 2 years before.

Applications should be addressed to Dr. Pierre Carcabal
([log in to unmask]) as soon as possible and no later than the
15th of August 2017. They should include a short introduction note where
the applicant will expose his experience and perspectives, a CV, and the
contact information of at least two co-workers/supervisors who will
accept to support the application.
