Hi list Wolters Kluwer are pleased to announce that there are just 3 months to go until the start of the new partnership agreement with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the NHS that licenses Wolters Kluwer’s Ovid® Discovery product as the exclusive Link Resolver solution across all NHS holdings in England at National, Regional, Trust and Hospital site levels. This new Link Resolver solution will provide NHS librarians, clinical staff and professionals working in England with direct―article level―access to all information holdings, full-text and library services from their main resources portal, whilst enabling librarians to manage their e-book and journal holdings. The Link Resolver and Knowledge Base elements of Ovid® Discovery— a software solution developed in partnership with TDNet—will be implemented nationally via API protocol against the NHS search interface, HDAS. Wolters Kluwer will implement and enable all NHS library holdings by configuring the content available in each library at every NHS site in England. Print holdings will also be indexed and made discoverable to users. In advance of the implementation, Wolters Kluwer will deploy an extensive training programme available to librarians. Training sessions will be held at multiple venues across the country - and via live WebEx -over the summer to train users of the service on the configuration and functionality of the product. Wolters Kluwer’s Customer Engagement team will also develop a personalised and customised online training and support resource landing page. All library administrators and clinical staff will have access to this site for documentation and support materials including videos, webinars, PPT presentations, and more, providing self-directed learning and background information on the product.
