Dear All,

A vacancy has arisen in the Acquisitions and Content Delivery Team at Royal Holloway, University of London. The closing date is Monday 31st July 2017. I'd be grateful if you could circulate the details to interested colleagues.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and team-orientated individual to join the Acquisitions and Content Delivery team as an Information Assistant, contributing to the provision of an effective customer-focused library service. The post holder will carry out a varied range of tasks.  They will deal with acquisition of print and online books, audio-visual material and print and e-journals administration.  These are all key responsibilities which contribute to providing an excellent experience for Royal Holloway students.  The post holder will provide essential support for electronic resources administration and will also fulfil requests for inter-library loan and digital copies for teaching, responding directly to students and academic staff.  They will also liaise with members of the Library's Liaison Team as appropriate.  The post holder will provide support to the Archives Service by invigilating in the Archives Reading Room as agreed and under the direction of the Archivist.

This is a particularly exciting time for the friendly and supportive Library team at Royal Holloway as we go through two major projects: we implemented Alma as our Library Management System (January 2016) and we are moving in to our new Library and Student Services Centre, the Emily Wilding Davison Building (Summer 2017).  This role will contribute actively, along with all Library colleagues, to ensure the successful move to the new building for the start of the new academic year 2017/18.
