The part-time (0.6FTE) Research Assistant will join a team to assist on a feasibility and pilot intervention trial of a parent training intervention to reduce emotional and behavioural difficulties in young children with autism spectrum disorders: Autism Spectrum Treatment and Resilience (ASTAR).

This post provides an exciting opportunity to be a supporting lead researcher on the IAMHealth programme funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) aimed at improving outcomes for people with autism by reducing mental health problems: http://iamhealthkcl.net/.  They will work alongside a Post-doctoral Research Associate to evaluate children before and after the treatment. The therapy will be overseen and delivered by an independent team of expert clinicians. The research assessments will comprise a comprehensive battery of both standardised and 'bespoke' research assessments of the children with autism, their parents and teaching staff. Training and ongoing monitoring in all of the research assessments will be given by the supervisors and the expert PI team.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 1 year and 8 months (end 30th April 2019).

This is a Part-time role - 60 % full time equivalent.

The selection process will include an assessment and a panel interview.

Interviews are scheduled to be held on Wednesday 2nd August 2017.
