Dear All,

For interest, information, see link https://www.gov.uk/government/news/exceptionally-rare-roman-figurine-at-risk-of-leaving-the-uk .

The figurine is up for sale for £550, a snip at the price. If it’s possible to find out which county or area it came from, it’d be a nice purchase for that local authority/museum/archaeology service.  Maybe archaeologists should have a pot to which they contribute on a regular basis to help pay for these kinds of items??

Cheers,

Neil
