Dear Lisa

Thank you for sharing yet again instructions on how to unsubscribe, which we must have received at least a dozen times in the last year.

I am astonished and depressed, in equal proportion, to see that at least seven academics are incapable of reading the instructions at the bottom of every email they receive from JISC. It is equally depressing that so many academics seem to think it is acceptable practice to pollute everyone's inbox with "please remove me requests" , making applications for external posts or sending their CVs.

We are supposed to be professional communicators, so let's try to set standards that we would expect our students to adhere to.
