Thanks for this information. Unfortunately it's a little bit too far for me. It sounds brilliant though. If you do something similar in the north west of the U.K. I would love to attend.

Thanks again

And FYI, the training will be followed by a two day compassionate mental health gathering. See website

to get an idea of event format.

Thanks,

Just to say we're going to have some excellent training coming up at Compassionate Mental Health with a highly respected trainer from the US, psychiatrist Daniel Fisher.

It's an alternative to MHFA called Emotional CPR - two day training for only 20 people, how to support someone experiencing mental distress in a non pathologising way.

Where: Wales
When: October 2nd, 3rd
Cost: TBC

More details about eCPR https://www.emotional-cpr.org/

If you're interested please get in touch to put your name on the list, as these 20 places will go fast.

With best wishes,

Hi Ian

I found these on line resources from the Charlie Waller Foundation recently, I haven't had a chance to do them myself yet but they were recommended to me at an event I went to.

Other than that MH first aid is excellent and certainly worth doing, they do a lite version which is half a day, or the full version is 2 days.  Some of the best training I have ever done.

Sharron

Subject: mental health CPD online?

Hi all
Can anyone recommend any mental health training aimed at disability officers/practitioners that offers CPD and ideally can be done online ?

Thanks
Ian Francis
