three decades have passed since the Sydney Living Museums made that
amazing discovery at a long forgotten government warehouse. Tens of
thousands of these surviving glass negatives, weighing as much as four
tonnes, now reside in the Justice and Police Museum loft under strictly
controlled temperature and humidity parameters. Together, these images
represent one of the largest and most intact police photographic
archives in the world.
