Subject: [TFAP_members] The Feminist Art Project Calendar Archive
Add-a-Thon ... July 24-30, 2017

Greetings from The Feminist Art Project,

During our crowdfunding campaign last fall we promised that when we
reached our goal TFAP would schedule an international Add-a-Thon.As
you know, we exceeded our goal and now we are keeping that promise!

We are excited to announce the TFAP Add-a-Thon, a week-long initiative
to expand our Calendar Archive of the contemporary feminist art
movement. During July 24 - 30, 2017, we invite you to join us in
reaching our goal to add 1,000 additional listings to the TFAP
Calendar Archive - the only comprehensive, searchable, virtual and
physical repository of contemporary feminist art activities across
varying media and from all over the world.

It's easy to participate! Grab your laptop and visit the Add-a-Thon
info
page<https://feministartproject.rutgers.edu/list-an-event/add-a-thon-2017/>to
learn more. The How to Guide and video tutorial coming soon.

What to post? We are looking for new listings of events to be added
from 2005 onward such as exhibitions, films, lectures, performances,
publications, classes, etc., in or about all visual art media with
feminist art content or analysis, feminist intent, or work by any
individual woman or women of all gender expressions. So dig through
your files for past, current, and future events! (Please keep in mind,
this is not an artists registry.)

Be a Feminist Archivist-Activist! You can list your or your
institution's feminist art activities
and events, or pick a smaller institution in your community to focus
on, or a large university or museum...the sky is the limit! The more
information we can gather the better.
Want to host an Add-a-Thon gathering?Make the TFAP Add-a-Thon a
networking event and host an Add-a-Thon party! Let us know about your
party and we'll help you promote it on TFAP National social media,
website, and emails. Post pictures of your TFAP Add-a-Thon event and
tweet! Use #TFAPAddaThon and tag @TFAPatRutgers. We'll be posting
along with you from our national office at Rutgers University in New
Jersey!

We want your stuff!TFAP needs your catalogs, announcements, event
ephemera, and other materials that mirror the Calendar Archive
listings that you post. They will be included in the Miriam Schapiro
Archives at Special Collections and University Archives (Rutgers
Libraries) where the TFAP Archive is housed.

Spread the Word! Let everyone in your circle know about the
Add-a-Thon. The Calendar Archive is free to use and everyone is
welcome to post. Forward this email and re-post on social Media. If
everyone we know adds even one or two new listings, we’ll easily reach
1,000!

We hope you will join us and be a part of this historic initiative.
We’ll be in touch soon with updates and reminders. Don’t hesitate to
reach out to us if you have any questions.

Happy Summer!
The Feminist Art Project
