The 2017 First International Symposium on Signal and Image Processing (ISSIP
2017), collocated with the 2017 Third IEEE International Conference on
Research in Computational Intelligence and Communication Networks (ICRCICN
2017) is aimed to foster the field of signal and image processing
encompassing the theory and practice of algorithms and hardware that
convert signals produced by artificial or natural means into a form useful
for a specific purpose. The signals might be speech, audio, images, video,
sensor data, telemetry, electrocardiograms, or seismic data among others.
The possible application areas include transmission, display, storage,
interpretation, classification, segmentation, or diagnosis. The symposium
is jointly organized by the Departments of Information Technology and
Engineering Science and Management, RCC Institute of Information
Technology, Kolkata during November 01-02, 2017. The main objective of the
symposium is to provide a platform for the young researchers to showcase
their inventions and innovations in the field of signal and image
processing which may be put to use to mankind.

We are pleased to invite you to submit original contributions to ISSIP 2017
via the EasyChair submission system for the symposium
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=issip2017. This can include
theoretical, conceptual or technical and experimental work. All submissions
will be peer-reviewed on the basis of relevance, originality, importance
and clarity.

*Manuscript Guidelines:*
Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original
unpublished research and recent developments in the topics related to the
conference. It is required that the manuscript (maximum 8 pages) follows
the standard camera-ready format. Submissions must include title, abstract,
keywords, author and affiliation with email address. The paper should not
contain page numbers. The manuscript templates in Microsoft Word and LaTeX
format can be found at http://issip.icrcicn.in/cfp.html.

The ISSIP organizers regard plagiarism as a serious professional
misconduct. All submissions will be screened for plagiarism and when
identified, the submissions by the same author will be rejected. A
submission SHOULD NOT be intended to get reviews from the Program Committee
for the sole purpose of improving on the quality of the paper. A submission
implies that the author intends to ultimately register the paper upon a
favorable response from the conference organizers. Moreover, ISSIP doesn't
encourage withdrawals after the paper is accepted.

*IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:*
The authors are requested not to prefix their credentials i.e. Dr., Prof.,
HOD, Mr., Ms., Mrs., Scholar, etc. in authors' name.
