Yes, you can get different models winning for the FFX and RFX options.  For example, a fixed effects analysis is more susceptible to outlier subjects. This scenario is explained and illustrated in http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1053811909002638 , in particular Figure 5.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I was wondering if it's possible that for RFX, we get one winning model and for FFX another winning model. I ran my data and it showed two different winning models for RFX and FFX respectively.
