Hi SPM users,

I’ve been working on the causal inference of stroke recovery in patients with tDCS intervention. I have the data of 19 stroke patients who were randomized into 2 groups: tDCS and sham. I need some guidance regarding the application of DCM on stroke patients who were given tDCS before the motor imagery task. My objective is to use effective connectivity measures of stroke patients during pre-stimulation and post-stimulation periods to prognosticate motor recovery.

I would like to know if tDCS intervention alters the model hypothesis for DCM. Could someone please let me know whether is okay to use the same task-dependent models (DCM-B matrix) for both groups (tDCS and sham) ?

Thanks and Regards,
