​Dear colleagues and prospective students,

may I bring your attention to our Master Program in Marseille (France), likely to interest students in STS with special concerns in the imperial history of (French & comparative) science, the economic and political history of medicine, and the history of the social science?

If your command of written and oral French is acceptable, ​with a Master, you can get an international experience by joining the 2d year of the Program;

The proximity of the Archives nationales d'outre-mer (Aix) and the Chambre de Commerce archive, provide a unique ressource for historians of the French imperial science. That of the Musée des civilisations européennes et méditerranéennes (MuCEM) and Musée des Arts Africains, Océaniennes et Américains (MAAOA) provides a unique environnement for a comprehensive understanding of its construction and conservation.

Considering its cost (400€ annually, covering administrative costs and health insurance), our Master Year-2 Program represents a unique opportunity to acquire a research student experience in France in the international environnement provided by the Ecole des hautes études en sciences sociales.

The city of Marseilles is beautiful, sunny, with a quite incredible and unacknwoledged artistic an student life, with very reasonnable (cheap) accommodation, near the parc national des Calanques.

We also welcome students of a wider ranger of topics in a comparative perspective.
