Dear all,
If you're in the process of chartership, you may be interested in a library teachmeet I am involved in organising.
LibTeachMeets are fun and informal meetings for sharing ideas through short presentations.
We welcome proposals for 2-minute presentations from library staff at all levels and across the sectors on the theme of: Supporting Library Users.
When
Thursday, 3 August 2017 from 13:00 to 16:00 (BST)
Where
Ravensbourne
6 Penrose Way
SE10 0EW Greenwich Peninsula
Call for speakers
We have already filled all of our slots for 7-minute presentations, but we still have 2-minute slots available. If you’ve contributed to a project on improving your library space for users, developed resources to help your users improve their digital skills or critical thinking skills, if you’ve an idea of how you can support your users more effectively than you are now, in any aspect of how they use the library then take this opportunity to share it!
We welcome you whether you’re an LIS student, a shambrarian, an information assistant, a librarian, or someone who works with libraries.
If you want to speak, the only rules we have is that your presentation mustn’t be trying to sell us anything, and you must stick to the timeslot. You can use whatever presentation format you want: including PowerPoint, keynote, prezi, slide rocket, 280 slides, you could just talk, show something from the web, hold up a poster, sing a song or even run a quick activity (if it fits within 2 minutes!)
17 tickets for attendees are also still available but are booking up fast.

I hope you'll come join in, whether as a presenter or an attendee 😊
