[Apologies for cross posts]

Hi everyone,

REQUEST to engineers and those who work with engineers: I want to find out more about how you/they prefer to search for engineering publications?

I'm interested to compare the merits of investing time in using a specialist, peer reviewed subject interface, e.g. INSPEC (provided by IET), with search via generic google / scholar, web of science and other types of searches. INSPEC is described here:

Please reply off list if you would be ok to set up a quick call or skype in the next 2 weeks to briefly discuss - your input would be very helpful.

I would particularly value getting input from a range of different participants, both junior and senior and academic, library and industry. Suggested contacts re this also very welcome :)

Thanks in advance

Jonathan
