2017 Ustinov Annual Conference
Global Citizenship, Nationalism, and New Paradigms

Ustinov College, Durham University, United Kingdom
Friday and Saturday, 07 – 08 July 2017

The Ustinov Annual Conference provides an interactive and fun space for dialogue between students, faculty and practitioners to explore questions of global citizenship at the intersection of academic theory and real life practice. Participants of the 2017 conference are invited to engage with the perceived polarisation of Western society, the globalism/nationalism dichotomy, as well as non-Western discourses on global citizenship.

The conference will start at 6pm on the 7th July with a three-course dinner and address by Professor Thom Brooks in the historic Durham Cathedral. The main conference programme, including a keynote address by Professor Dibyesh Anand, takes place at Ustinov College from 9am to 5pm on the 8th July, with optional social activities in the evening. Informal sightseeing is also available for event participants on Sunday, 9th July following the conference events.

Registration is only £15.00 and includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments on 8th July.
