This free event marks the publication of a new edited collection - Eleanor Jupp, Jessica Pykett and Fiona M. Smith (eds.) (2017) Emotional States: Sites and Spaces of Affective Governance (Routledge)
The book examines the allure, value and currency of emotions within political discourse, governance and the development and implementation of social policy. The seminar and book launch will develop these themes, particularly within the context of contemporary
politics.
