Grantiau Cadwraeth NMCT/ MALD
Mae MALD: Amgueddfeydd Archifau a Llyfrgelloedd sef adran o Lywodraeth Cymru, a’r Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol er Gwarchod Llawysgrifau (NMCT) yn cydweithio er mwyn cyllido prosiectau cadwraethol ataliol yn 2017/18.
Yn sgil y bartneriaeth yma, bydd sefydliadau archifol ac amgueddfeydd cymwys yn gallu gwneud cais i MALD am holl gostau prosiectau cadwraeth ataliol.
Rydym nawr yn gwahodd datganiadau o ddiddordeb mewn gwneud cais am grant cadwraeth ataliol. Dylai’r datganiad gynnwys y canlynol:
- Disgrifiad byr o’r eitem(au) / casgliad i’w warchod
- Arwyddocâd yr eitem(au) / casgliad i’r sefydliad a’r rhanddeiliaid allweddol. Nodwch pam y dewiswyd yr eitem(au) neu’r casgliad yma i’w warchod
- Amlinellwch pam fod angen y gwaith cadwraethol a sut bydd hyn yn sicrhau gwell mynediad i’r eitem(au) / casgliad.
- Rhowch grynodeb o’r gwaith cadwraethol gan gynnwys amcangyfrif o gost y prosiect.
Yn ogystal â bod yn gymwys ar gyfer grantiau MALD, mae’n rhaid i’r prosiect gwrdd â meini prawf NMCT. Mae manylion y meini prawf a gwybodaeth am y cynllun ar gael ar y wefan
http://www.nmct.co.uk/.
Yn dilyn asesiad, bydd MALD yn darparu cymorth ac arweiniad i ymgeiswyr, fydd yn cael eu gwahodd i fynd ymlaen i wneud cais i NMCT. Y dyddiad cau ar gyfer cyflwyno ceisiadau am grant i NMCT yw 1 Hydref 2017.
Noder gall sefydliadau sydd eisoes wedi derbyn grantiau gan MALD/NMCT ymgeisio. Er hynny, os bydd ceisiadau am fwy o gyllid nag sydd ar gael, mae’n bosib y rhoddir blaenoriaeth i brosiectau gan sefydliadau cymwys sydd heb dderbyn cyllid gan y bartneriaeth
o’r blaen.
NMCT/ MALD Conservation Grants
The Museums, Archives & Libraries Division (MALD) of the Welsh Government and the National Manuscripts Conservation Trust (NMCT) have entered into a funding partnership for 2017 /18.
The partnership will enable archive and museums that are eligible for MALD grants to apply for the full cost of a remedial conservation project.
Expressions of interest in applying for remedial conservation funding are now invited. The expressions of interest should include the following information:
- Brief description of the item(s) / collection to be conserved
- The significance of the item(s) / collection for the institution and key stakeholders. We wish to know why this item(s) or collection has/have been chosen for conservation.
- A statement outlining why there is a preservation need for the treatment to be carried out and how treatment will open up access to the item(s) / collection.
- A brief overview of the intended conservation work and include a rough estimate of project cost.
In addition to being eligible for MALD grants, the proposed projects must meet the NMCT criteria. Details of the NMCT criteria and further information on the scheme are available at
http://www.nmct.co.uk/.
Following assessment of the expressions of interest, MALD will provide full support and guidance to applicants who are invited to proceed to submit an application to NMCT. The deadline for NMCT applications is the 1 October 2017.
Please note that previous recipients of MALD/NMCT grants can apply, however, if the scheme is oversubscribed priority may be given to projects from eligible institutions that have not received previous funding from the NMCT partnership.
