Data Scientist, British Red Cross London www.DataScientistJobs.co.uk The Data Scientist will work with colleagues in the Innovation & Insight department to embed data science as a key component of the evidence led approach to UK service design and delivery. They will work across UK Services in a number of ways: To harness the power of complex, external datasets to forecast need, emerging opportunities and challenges for UK Services, specifically health-related services; To deliver impactful analysis and visually engaging reporting of existing data to maximise impact of work, and support UK Services with future service development and investment; To lead on a foresight strategy which pioneers innovative applications of data science techniques. As a Data Scientist, you will support the British Red Cross to understand unmet and emerging needs and opportunities, working with colleagues to plan for testing, piloting, evaluating and rollout of new approaches or projects. The post holder will lead the development of a foresight strategy which ensures that UK services proactively and effectively align themselves to meet the emerging needs of people in crisis across the UK. This should capture how the Innovation and Insight directorate will champion data science, and integrate data science tools and techniques into the British Red Cross more widely.
