NIHR Systematic Review Fellowships form part of the NIHR Research Methods Programme, the purpose of which is to:

·         Attract to the NIHR the most talented individuals, especially those who are not currently working in a health-related field;

·         Provide these individuals with the necessary support and training to become specialist methodologists in areas relevant to the NIHR; and

·         Expand their research interests into areas relevant to the NIHR

This NIHR Systematic Review Fellowship is aimed at individuals interested in developing a career as a systematic reviewer/methodologist in medical test evaluation. The Fellow will undertake a 2-year (or 3-year part time) structured training programme and will work on a number of applied health and methodology projects related to the evaluation of medical tests. The Fellowship will provide opportunity for formal training, either relevant short courses or a relevant postgraduate course e.g. Master of Public Health or MSc in Medical Statistics (home/EU rate fees will be covered), according to the Fellow’s training needs. If the Fellow wishes to pursue a PhD, we will support the Fellow’s application for an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship.
