If you are interested in reviewing one of these titles, please email me with your name, address and phone number and book preference, along with a brief bio detailing your area(s) of academic expertise.  I won’t Google you if you don’t include this bio, which means you may miss out!  Book reviews are due within 8 weeks, should be 1000-1200 words long and should:

• give a clear summary of the broad content of the book;

• highlight aspects/parts of the book which are particularly valuable;

• indicate the extent to which the book makes an original contribution to the field, for example by reference to existing literature and/or practice;

• identify strengths and/or weaknesses in the book, in terms of argument, coverage, method, accuracy, structure or lucidity;

• for textbooks: evaluate the book’s usefulness as a teaching aid;

• indicate the likely readership (e.g., undergraduate, postgraduate, researchers, practitioners, general public);

• provide an overall evaluation of the quality of the book.

To be equitable and allow the widest possible opportunity for those interested to respond, the book will not be allocated until Thursday morning 1 June (New Zealand Time).
