Just to make it very clear that Anne and I take it very seriously when there is evidence of a subscriber harvesting e-mails, we haven’t made up this rule to be awkward we have done it to protect subscribers and because there are legal parameters on sending unsolicited marketing e-mails without consent. We have therefore written to Mr Williams advising him of this. For information on this please see the following links;

Dear Grant
I am suspecting that Mr Williams has harvested email addresses from the JISC-OH resource. This contravenes the ground rules of the JISC-OH list and these are the rules we subscribers agree to on joining the resource. I have blocked his email address and that of his colleague from being able to post on JISC-OH.
If other JISC-OH subscribers have received similar unsolicited emails from this company, and object to this misuse of your data I would recommend that you contact Mr Williams off list to advise him of this. Both Karen Coomer and I have been in contact with him over the last few months regarding his misuse of the JISC-OH list.
I am sure Grant and I are not the only JISC-OH subscribers who objects to this infringement.

Dear Mr Williams,
Can you please advise me how you obtained my email address?
Can you please remove my details from your database. I am forwarding this email to my organisation’s Data Protection and Legal Counsel departments as it is unsolicited and unwanted.
Yours sincerely,
Grant Ciccone

Subject: Working Together - Visual Impairment Work-place Needs Assessment-Covering all of the UK
Good Afternoon
I would like to take this opportunity to write and see if there is a possibility that we may be able to work together? I conduct Specialist Workplace Needs Assessments, UK wide, for employees with a visual impairment, enabling them to carry out their job effectively and efficiently. These assessments are solution focused and cost effective, creating a seamless process in supporting employees to remain in employment. We identify the ideal solutions for an individual by carrying out in depth, holistic Work Place Needs Assessment, identifying technological, environmental and reasonable adjustments, which will reduce barriers the employee may face aiding productivity and efficiency.
I would be keen to explore the opportunity of becoming a third party supplier and look forward to discussing this further.
More information is attached for your convenience.
Kindest regards
Daniel Williams
