Dear colleagues

We are starting our summer Research Seminars at the Science Museum with a special event:

The Politics of Science Objects in the Modern World

Wednesday 10th May 12-1pm

Dana Studio

165 Queen's Gate
London SW7 5HD

The lunch-time panel discussion features Sam Alberti (National Museums Scotland), Helen Graham (University of Leeds) and Simon Schaffer (University of Cambridge) as speakers. The discussion will be chaired by Justin Dillon (University of Bristol) and aims to provoke discussion, questions and ideas from audience members as well as speakers.

The panellists are all members of the Science Museum Group Journal’s Editorial Board. They offer multi-disciplinary perspectives on objects and scientific processes from history of science, to audience engagement, from conservation to curatorial practice. This is a chance to hear and question some of the most interesting thinkers in the museum world today.

The event is free and open to staff, colleagues from other museums, academics and students.

Please RSVP to [log in to unmask] as there are a limited number of spaces and tea/coffee and refreshments will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you,

The Science Museum Research and Public History Department.
