Student retention strategies: an Australian case study

Dear all

Re the event referred to below: perhaps LD colleagues whose employers are members of UUK might like to comment on the role of private companies in our arena. I intend to write to UUK myself. ALDinHE could have been invited to participate in the event to offer an alternative view. It may also be worth you finding out how your institution is represented by UUK so that views on this can be expressed - perhaps you could approach your VC about this. UUK state: “Universities UK is the voice of universities” and ‘our members are the vice-chancellors or principals (executive heads) of universities in the UK” http://www.universitiesuk.ac.uk

All the best

John

Would improving academic achievement impact retention rates at your university?

Michael Larsen, CEO for YourTutor, will be one of the expert panellists discussing this key topic during the UUK Improving student retention in the changing higher education landscape conference on 7 June.

Yours sincerely
