Dear All

I’d like to give you a quick update regarding the forthcoming HER Forum Summer Meeting (04-07-17 in Hull).

Firstly (and quite importantly) I should mention that the 23-05-17 deadline for expressions of interest in attending given in my last update (16-05-17) was a purely interim one. This was part of an information gathering exercise to aid the planning of the event. There are still places left and booking will not close finally until 16-06-17, so if you’re interested please get in touch!

However, as a result of the information that has now emerged, there has been a significant adjustment to the planned programme, specifically in respect of the walking tour. You may recall that we floated the idea of a walking tour of historic Hull on the evening preceding the Forum meeting (3rd July). Responses so far received, however, suggest that, on balance, this will exclude more participation than it will attract. Consequently we now intend to make the tour a part of the main programme for the 4th July. I hope this doesn’t spoil anyone’s plans. (The intention is that those of us who will be in Hull on the evening of the 3rd can meet up for refreshment, and possibly seek out an eatery, regardless).

I hope to circulate a finished programme for the meeting on Monday 5th June.

Best wishes

Nick
