Visitor Services Assistant
Contract type: Casual basis
Hours of work: As and when required
Rate of pay: £9.75 per hour

Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust is currently recruiting a number of Visitor Services Assistants, for part-time casual basis roles to provide front-of-house support to visitors at Greenwich Heritage Centre and Charlton House.

Applicants must possess excellent customer service skills to support work in a range of areas whether reception, gift shop, office, tearoom, museum or the archive search room, according to each site's operational priorities. The ideal candidates will be passionate about history, be friendly and enthusiastic and might have experience of volunteering and/or working in an information-giving role dealing directly with the public. This experience could be, but need not exclusively be, in a setting such as a school, community centre, museum, archive, visitor attraction or retail environment. Above all, the ideal candidate will possess excellent visitor-facing communication skills. The work is offered on a casual, part-time basis, at a rate of £9.75 per hour.

Learning & Participation Assistant
Contract type: Part-time, six month contract
Hours of work: 2 days per week, including Saturday
Rate of pay: £7,098 per annum

Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust is currently recruiting a part-time Learning & Participation Assistant, to support the delivery of our learning and participation programme.

The Learning & Participation Assistant will assist the Learning and Participation Officer with the development and delivery of our families programme. S/he will be responsible for developing and delivering sessions and activities including trails around our galleries and grounds, storytelling, art and craft and object handling sessions to families visiting our heritage sites, Greenwich Heritage Centre and Charlton House. The ideal candidate will be passionate about history, be friendly and enthusiastic and have experience of facilitating children's workshops in a school, museum, library or visitor attraction environment. S/he will also support our special events programme including outreach activities and festivals across the borough. Above all, the ideal candidate will possess excellent visitor-facing communication skills.
