You can get a ‘writing slope’ – a clear Perspex device. Our learning services department have one. The ones I have seen in catalogues seem to be very expensive but I’m sure you could shop around

I have just had a student come in and make an unusual request……..he always leans on a folder when he writes and has asked if he can take an empty ring binder into his exams to lean on as he likes to write on a sloping surface!

I am inclined to say no as it is unauthorised material, even if we check the folder is empty, plus I don’t want to open the floodgates!

Any advice or comments welcome!
