Hi Caroline When we split up papers for the different rooms (particularly on GCSE English and Maths days) we tend to keep a few spare papers back (we usually have some) locked in our secure cupboard so that we have them easily to hand if needed anywhere. We often put latecomers into our smaller rooms rather than interrupting in the Sports Hall once the exam is underway. You could perhaps do the same, and pick what you need as late candidates arrive and go to your late room. You wouldn't need to disturb other candidates then.
