Student volunteers can be the lifeblood of an event, festival, or
engagement activity, and their training is the key to preparing them for
their roles and avoiding negative outcomes.


This invitation is to attend the *Designing and evaluating training
programmes for student volunteers *workshop, with Prof. Eric Jensen and

Dr Eric Jensen (Dept. of Sociology, University of Warwick) is a leading
social scientist specialising in innovative methods of conducting impact
evaluation research in informal learning and public engagement contexts. Dr
Jensen holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Cambridge.
He is the author of *Doing Real Research: A Practical Guide to Social
Research (SAGE).*

Mathematics of the Autonomous National University of México (UNAM), where
she leads a communication project known as "Festival Matemático" (Math

perception of mathematics.
