We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual of the highest calibre with an excellent publication record to the post of Lecturer in Biophysical Chemistry to be held in the School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Chemistry or cognate discipline, and have relevant academic postdoctoral research experience. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of biological and physical chemistry. The successful candidate should have expertise in the development of contemporary biophysical technique(s) and have a proven track record in applying physical techniques to important biological or medical problems. The successful candidate should have demonstrated ability, or clear potential, to develop a vigorous and independent research programme that complements current research in the School and EaStCHEM, and that has clear connections to research in other University units (e.g., the School of Biological Sciences, the Centre for Translational and Chemical Biology, the Centre for Synthetic and Systems Biology, the Edinburgh Medical School and the Roslin Institute) and external organisations and facilities.

There will be a requirement to be involved in enhancing eLearning and online teaching initiatives
