Dear Fuyu (CC'd mailing list) With DCM for fMRI, you can only compare models with the same ROIs. This is because the free energy is predicated on the data - p(y|m) - and with fMRI the data are the ROIs. So one option would be to have models containing all regions, and having modulatory inputs on the left, right or bilateral connections.
