Job Title: Summer Schools Assistant
Accountable to: Family Programme Manager
Location: 21 Albemarle Street, London
Contract type: Fixed term contract, 26 June-9 August 2017, full time
Salary: Circa £24,000 per annum (pro rata for length of contract)
The role
The Summer Schools Assistant is responsible for administrative coordination and day-to-day oversight of the Ri’s successful Summer Schools programme. The programme consists of workshops delivered by a variety of speakers: experts in industry, University academics and specialist teachers. While not being responsible for the delivery of educational content themselves, this post works with a wide range of people to ensure the Summer Schools programme runs smoothly and successfully. The successful candidate will be excited about bringing STEM to life for young people, and working in the science communication sector. They will have some experience of event management and informal learning programmes, as well as being organised and hard-working with a can-do attitude, and the ability to quickly resolve issues as and when they arise.
