Dear colleagues, A permanent position of Assistant Professor is open at Mines Saint-Étienne (France, near Lyon) in the field of Industrial Engineering. The person hired would join our Department which belongs to the LIMOS UMR CNRS 6158 (a French laboratory in Optimization and Computer Science). He / She should develop a high-level research in the design or evaluation of production systems (discrete-event simulation, line balancing, planning and scheduling problems, lean manufacturing, ...). An interest on problems related to the Industry 4.0 or the Industrial Internet would be welcome. He / She would also have to teach some lectures and tutorials in related fields (third year of bachelor and master level), and to work on scientific and industrial collaborations. Applicants must have a PhD and be an EU national. They have to apply before April 23th, 2017. Speaking French is not mandatory but the willingness to learn it would be appreciated. Speaking English is required.
