Dear colleagues, I am sending news of a series of events on behalf of
Sophie Mayer and Selina Robertson, based around the work on B. Ruby Rich.
These are a four-day event at the Barbican Cinema, entitled ‘Being Ruby Rich
<http://www.barbican.org.uk/film/event-detail.asp?ID=19960>‘ (as part of
their *2017 Film in Focus* season), sponsored by Film London
<http://filmlondon.org.uk/> and co-curated by Club des Femmes
<http://www.clubdesfemmes.com/>, a queer-feminist film curating collective,
and a one-day symposium at Birkbeck College. The symposium will act as a
pre-conference event for ‘Feminist Emergency : International Conference
<http://www.bbk.ac.uk/events-calendar/feminist-emergency>’ (22-24 June
2017) hosted by BiH in collaboration Birkbeck Gender and Sexuality (BiGS
<http://www.bbk.ac.uk/bisr/bigs/index_html>), the Birkbeck Institute for
Social Research <http://www.bbk.ac.uk/bisr/front-page/>, BIMI and the British
Comparative Literature Association <https://bcla.org/>.

See the links below for details of the symposium and for the Barbican
