**As part of a project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research
Council, the Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts at Lancaster
University is hosting an event that showcases a range of issues facing
Arts funding in the North of England. Invited speakers will address a
number of points:

•How do artists, filmmakers and theatre practitioners go about getting a
project funded?

•What agencies and funding bodies are there that support the arts?

•What successful examples of funding have there been in recent times?

•What are the differences between the ways in which Art, Theatre and
Film projects are funded?

•What are the differences between public funders and private funders?

There are invited speakers for this event but the talks will be brief,
open and informative. We are also inviting questions from the audience,
so if you’re keen to get a sense of the current environment for Arts
funding in the North of England, here is your chance to find out!
